Istanbul Gedik University is one of the most renowned private Turkish universities. It includes six faculties: the Faculty of Law, the Faculty of Administrative Sciences, the Faculty of Design and Architecture, the Faculty of Engineering, the Faculty of Health Sciences, and the Faculty of Sports Sciences.
Establishment of Istanbul Gedik University
Istanbul Gedik University was founded in 2010 in Kartal, Istanbul, by the engineer Halil Kaya, who received several awards in his professional life before his death.

How to apply to Istanbul Gedik University

Istanbul Gedik University offers the possibility of applying to the undergraduate level in all specializations with a secondary school average of no less than 60%. The requirements are:
- The secondary school certificate translated into English or Turkish and attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
- A transcript translated into either English or Turkish and attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
- A passport
- A photograph
Documents required to apply to the graduate level (masters):
Istanbul Gedik University offers the possibility of applying to the graduate level in all specializations with a bachelor’s degree average of no less than 60%. The requirements are:
- The university degree translated into English or Turkish and attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
- A transcript translated into either English or Turkish and attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
- A passport
- A photograph

Intakes and deadlines at Istanbul Gedik University
Applying to the undergraduate level:
Istanbul Gedik University opens admission for the undergraduate level once a year, in the fall semester. Receiving applications continues for a period of five months (May to September), with the possibility of extending the registration period until the beginning of October.
Applying to the graduate (master's or PhD) level:
Istanbul Gedik University offers the opportunity to apply to the graduate (master's or PhD) level twice a year:
- Fall intakes: Admission begins from May to September (with the possibility of extension to October).
- Spring intakes: Admission starts from October until the end of January, and the semester begins in February.
