Işık University

Işık University is one of the most renowned and established private universities in Türkiye. Over 15,540 students have graduated from the institution since its foundation 26 years ago. Job opportunities have been provided for more than 14,000 of its graduates.

Işık University was established in 1996 by the Feyziye Schools Foundation. It has two campuses; one is in Şile and the other is in Maslak district in Istanbul.

Işık University considers academic distinction one of its top priorities and directs all its objectives and plans to achieve this goal while following a high-level management approach in talent management and development.

The University aims to graduate students capable of understanding and assimilating the changes taking place in society and the world while keeping pace with technological developments.

• Işık University gives priority to research and scientific studies through centers equipped with the latest technologies.
• The university has an enormous library containing more than 67,273 printed books and 664,043 e-books, with the aim of expanding students’ cultural knowledge allowing them to spend a fruitful and productive time at the campus.

Işık University is accredited and recognized in all European countries, as well as in some Arab countries, including Yemen, Egypt, Libya, Sudan, Jordan, Syria, Palestine, and Lebanon.

The university has many specializations, and provides the possibility of studying in English or Turkish, depending on the specialization and the student’s choice.

• The university provides its students the opportunity to join more than 59 student clubs and participate in various activities and events.

• It provides students the opportunity to participate in sports clubs and tournaments (tennis, football, billiards, and chess).

Tuition fees at Işık University for the bachelor’s level start at $3,600 annually and $4,500 for the entire master’s program. The university offers the possibility of paying the tuition fees in three installments per year.

Işık University offers the possibility of applying to the undergraduate level in all specializations with a secondary school average of no less than 60%, the requirements are:

• The secondary school certificate; translated into English or Turkish language and certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
• A transcript translated into either English or Turkish and certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
• A passport
• A photograph

Documents required to apply to graduate level:

Işık University offers the possibility of applying to the graduate level in all specializations with a bachelor's degree’s average of no less than 60%, the requirements are:

• The university degree translated into English or Turkish language and certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
• A transcript translated into either English or Turkish and certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
• A passport
• A photograph

Applying to undergraduate level:

Ishik University opens admission for the undergraduate level once a year, in the fall semester. Receiving applications continues for a period of five months (May to September), with the possibility of extending the registration period until the beginning of October.

Applying to graduate (master or PhD) level:

Işık University offers the opportunity to graduate (master's or PhD) level twice a year:

• Fall intakes: Admission begins from May to September (with the possibility of extension to October).
• Spring intakes: Admission starts from October until the end of January, and the semester begins in February.
